How we plan a product launch commercially

Every engagement follows a structured process adapted to your product category, channel structure, and timeline. Below is the standard sequence for our flagship Launch Commercial Planning engagement.

Initial Briefing Call

A 45-minute conversation to understand your product, target markets, launch date, and current planning status. We ask about unit economics, existing channel relationships, and the commercial documents you already have (or lack). No preparation required beyond a general product overview.

Scope Proposal

Within five business days, you receive a written scope document listing deliverables, timeline, fee, and team assignments. This document becomes the engagement agreement once signed and deposit received.

Discovery Phase

We interview your product, finance, and sales leads individually. We review cost data, competitive pricing, and any existing channel agreements. This phase typically takes two weeks and may include a half-day on-site session at your office.

Commercial Model Development

Working sessions where we build pricing scenarios, test margin assumptions, and draft channel options. Your leadership team participates in at least two facilitated workshops during this phase. Decisions made here feed directly into the written commercial plan.

Document Production

We write the commercial plan — pricing architecture, channel brief, distributor terms outline, and sales collateral specification. Drafts circulate for review; we incorporate feedback within agreed revision rounds.

Sales Readiness Handover

Final documents delivered. A briefing session with your sales team walks through the price list, channel strategy, and collateral plan. We remain available for clarification questions for 30 days after handover.
